Some of Ms. Wismann’s recent roles have been Marie Antoinette and 2nd Gossip in John Corigliano’s
The Ghosts of Versailles (Aspen Music Festival/ Wexford Festival/ Opera Theater of St. Louis) and Adriane Galisteu in a workshop of Michael Torke’s
Senna (Metropolitan Opera in conjunction with the English National Opera). At Juilliard she sang such roles as, Countess in
Le Nozze di Figaro, Pamina in
The Magic Flute, Silberklang in
Der Schauspieldirektor, Euridice (cover)
Orphée aux enfers and Sandrina (cover) in
La Finta Giardiniera. Also in Aspen, she sang the role of Alessandro in
Eliogabalo(United States Premier, under the baton of Jane Glover) and Solvieg in Grieg’s
Peer Gynt.
In the past years, Ms. Wismann has appeared in concert with New York’s Albany symphony, California’s Ventura County Concert Band, the Verein Opera of Zurich, Switzerland and in 2008, served as a representative of The Juilliard School and the United States in the International Music Festival of Kyoto, Japan performing a recital of all American composers. She has been a fellowship recipient of both the Aspen and Tanglewood Music Festivals where she was given the unique opportunity to work with such operatic greats as Dawn Upshaw, James Conlon and James Levine. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and a Master’s from The Juilliard School in New York.
Ms. Wismann is a native of Los Angeles, California, and currently resides in New York City.
